There are three elements to passing this course; the supervisor’s questionnaire, a case study and the self directed learning programme all three need to have met the standard for a pass.
Delegates who are not yet deemed to be competent and ready for independent practice
There are a number of reasons why delegates may not yet be ready for independent practice in the field of dysphagia after 11 months of work based learning. Patient safety is of paramount importance and only delegates who have been observed and deemed appropriately competent will be able to pass the course.
In the event that the delegate has not demonstrated sufficient competence there will be an opportunity to resubmit elements not passed after a further period of work based learning. Details are available on the course.
